I have a complaint that has made parts of this game unenjoyable! The nerfing of drop rates on things like green items, etc. I know at least 10 people who have finished NF and none having gotten a green drop. To make it worse, most have not even gotten a random rune drop for the new professions. I think ANET needs to re-evaluate the way they intend to deal with farmers. I don't think it is the right approach to a perceived problem by nerfing something so bad that a standard player can't even get a single drop within the play of the entire game. Whats the reason for a player to continue to play a game thru if there is little reward in doing so. GG ANET!! Thx for taking the fun out of pve. Good way to eliminate replayability.

I think it has to do with luck. I got two green recently after getting none through the whole game. Could be that henchies mess it up as well, as I was playing with one other person each time.

i got 2 greens (one in marga coast, other by chantry of secrets) and was with a full party of henches. they did make the ai smarter, and attack more like people in pvp-i.e. charging monks, but it gets to be a pain in the ass--anyway, 55 monks were due for a nerf, and SS in my opinions was a bit overpowered anyway..but some of the nerfs were dumb, ESPECIALLY mesemer nerfs like distortion...

The Distortion nerf was a long time coming. You just needed 3 on Illusion (or even none on certain builds) and you can negate hundred points worth of damage.

I have beated faction 8 times, and i have never got a single green from any bosses i killed on my way

... i did get some from farming, i farm like 8 hours a day i can get maybe 3 to 5 greens. man you have put your work into it, whinning is not gonna help you, if you have the time whinning in forum i suggest you to farm a little bit more.

I beat a boss in NF yesterday in the cliffs.. got a green item, today I killed him again and I get the green item AGAIN!!. Twice I've killed the boss, twice a green.. usually I suck at luck though...

i haven't noticed any difference in drops...

I get my ussual gold here, few purples, and even greens in Factions with all henchies. In one day I got 2 greens in Factions. ( no it wasn't the 3x weekend )

The week Nightfall came out I got 2 black dyes and a white.

However I get the worse luck in Tombs. Never got an Ecto, or any of the good greens the many times I did it.

I dunno, but I've noticed since I got my Lucky title the last time 9 rings was playing I been getting sweet drops since then.

You have to understand, ANet doesn't support farming. Farming as a whole is almost as bad as running people to droks. They don't want you to camp in 1 area and continuously kill the same thing over and over, they want you to PLAY the game.

Besides, greens are ugly, cheap and newbish. They are not a good way to make money at all, nor are they status symbols. They're nothing to show off. If I see people wielding greens I just chuckle to myself at them for taking the easy way out.

Right now I've been trying to outfit my heroes on my main char with greens, they're great for that.

I've killed Chor three time's and gotten his axe twice in NF, lucky sure... more likely it's cause I was solo.

But in parties with guildies, heroes or henchies I think it's pretty much the same as it has always been in the other campaigns. Can't say I went through factions with 8 chars (did with 3 and almost 4th) but I never got a green from a mission, or see many drop and those are almost always PUGs.

You chuckle at people for having greens? I get annoyed when people spam what they're wielding, and I'm usually not impressed no matter what it is... but I would never believe I'm a superior player because I'm NOT wielding a green.

I always use greens as that way i dont mind customising them for the extra 20% dmg.

I Didnt have 1 green drop the whole way through nightfall and only had 1 gold staff drop aswell, didnt even have 1 single dye drop either.
Finished factions 3 times and never had a green drop during normal mission play.

If Anet wants us to play the game, why did they change Heroes Ascent to 6 people. It has been 8 for 17 months. Besides all that, they change so many things that PvP is not PvP any more. I dont want to fight heroes in HA or GvG i want to fight real people. Its called Person Vs Person with a reason.
And PvE is soooooo boring now with all these heroes. All the people play for themselfs. Its a MMORPG not a single player game....

Greens are for new people, but some other players also use them because they are cheap and easy to get.

Greens are not always ugly (Willcrusher? Kaolin Staves?) and more often have the same skins as rare gold skins. Who are you kidding . And the great thing about them is that they're cheap. I don't know about you, but with 6 characters I can't possibly equip them all with perfect golds for each of the attributes they use (take my ele, he has 12 different wands, focuses and staves or my warrior who similarly has 3 hammers, 3 axes, ,a sword and 3 shields all of which i actually use on a consistent basis). Greens and collectors items are the only way a normal player can possibly hope to have enough equipment. They are not an easy way out. They are the only way normal people can get the equipment they need to use the different builds different missions require.

you are not serious right? i am Atleast 10x richer than you are. and i use all greens not a single gold item. I have all my chars with fissure< in fact i have 2 fissure for my warrior> and i dont spend a penny on gold items. i like green and collector items cuz they are easy to access to. i dont like to spend endless hours trying to search for an item. i want the job done, that is it.
a dead warrior with a req8 15^50 crytalline is no different than a warrior with a sskai sword imao.

Hmm... First of all many greens are nice - we can't all have perfect weapons for all our chars. Alot of the skins are good looking, and there is nothing wrong with Droks running if you ask me. You dare to call greens noobish, yet you don't say anything about your own gear, and I can see that your guild is not on the ladder - so no respect from me. Because you can't prove that you not are arrogant noob yourself.

--And to the top post, I got the storm bringer(NF green) The second time I left kamadan. And my paragon is only finding paragon and dervish runes - almost. Your friends are just some unlucky bitches

The point was the nerfing, not how much you farm tommy. I dont care if you wanna farm all day. I play PvP and am not interested in grinding the same map all day to get a drop or two after 8 hours. The point was the nerfing of drop rates to hinder people from farming is not the right approach. I have played this game nearly two years and have noticed a huge change from prophecies until now in what drops. The methods of nerfing are the issue I brought up.

I think I'm going to break standard here and not reference Dahl (oh dang, I failed)

I'd say that in the first 2 hours or so of playing Nightfall I had 2 different Inscriptions drop, a Superiour Paragon Rune, and a Firey Gladius. If you just tore through the game then that might be why you didn't find anything.

to Rom, i found 3 gold items when i am killing the bugs for sunspear points. so maybe just your luck aint that good? but yeah i like farming, i am pve farmer and farming is what i do

Actually I love the skins on some greens. Green drops are about the only enjoyable thing other than the Sephis axes and other goodies in some maps. I actually killed nearly all the bosses in NF and that is what got me iritated.
